Lugano is known for its beautiful lake and its pretty mountains, if you are a nature lover then these are the mountains that you must visit. Monte Bre, Monte San Salvatore, Monte generoso, and Monte Voglia. Lugano is also full of parks if you would like to go for a walk and enjoy the view on a sunny day. The closest Park to campus is Parco Tassino and it’s easy to reach walking from downtown from North Campus, it’s a 15 minutes walk. “I go and read there. It's one of the most peaceful places in Lugano'' says Sofi Rojo. Many of the students love to call it “The princess castle” or “The pink castle”, because at the top of the park there is a small pink castel that during sunsets it blends with the sky. Another park that is by the lake and it's one of the main parks in Lugano, it’s next to the Casino downtown.

The top three restaurants in Lugano are La fermata; If you're craving tacos and different tapas with original cocktails then it’s the place for you. The second place is Seven which is the perfect spot to go to especially on weekend because it’s divided in three main areas: the Restaurant which is upstairs that have mainly Italian food and meat, the second area is the lounge, where it’s possible to have a few drinks after dinner before going to the club which is on the same floor. Thirdly, if you’re feeling like eating something different than the typical Italian food then Tabla is the spot to have the best dumplings and Indian food, it’s a 15 minutes walk from campus.
